Tenerelli Orchards was founded by Peter Tenerelli, a first-generation immigrant from Italy in 1932. Peter was hesitant to join the farmers market concept until his wife Lorraine convinced him and opened his mind to this idea. He started out in farmers’ markets in Burbank, Pasadena and Gardena and they have been in our markets for over 20 years. With their success, their youngest son John Tenerelli joined the business in 1980. John helped with the expansion of their farm and their sales, and they expanded into more farmers’ markets in the area. Now the 3rd generation, John’s daughter Natalie and partner Dan continue to grow the business. Employees Roberto Ramirez and his family are the smiling faces you see at the VCCFM markets, making their delicious stone fruit available for everyone.
